This online learning experience is based on my previous work as university teacher in the sphere of Global Sustainable Development.

The module focuses on understanding Food Systems, through the concepts of Food Security, Food Sustainability and Food Sovereignty. It was designed to provide level 5 learning for UK university students studying towards a Batchelors of both Arts and Science (B.A.Sc.)

Introduction to Systems Thinking and Food Systems

Watch the following two videos, and consider the questions:

  • What is a systems approach to thinking about a given topic?
  • Why might a systems approach be useful?

As per the video instruction, now watch a short real life case study that illustrates the value of systems thinking.
