as I mentioned in the previous article about The most effective internal variables that affect SEO (search engine optimization). there are also external variables that affect SEO we should talk about and take into consideration.

There are 4 external variables that usually affect SEO :

1- back links to websites

2- trust earned by website

3- social signals

4- Geographic data of website visitors

* back links

to improve your SEO you should build links that will take you directly to your website, and those links should be measured as follow:

-positive back links

  • The quality of links: your links should be built in a site which has a good reputation and high traffic.
  • The Quantity of links: number of links that you have built in other websites.
  • Use of anchor text: your links should be highlighted

-negative back links

  • Purchased link: search engine will recognize all purchased links and will penalize you and would affect your SEO negatively.
  • Spam links: search engine will also recognize the automation of building links in other websites.

* trust earned by website

-positive trust looks at :

  • Authoritative: gives the authority of links that you have in your site.
  • Domain history: if your website has been launched since a long time , and also if it’s reputable or not .
  • Verification of identity

-negative trust :

  • Piracy: search engine will recognize putting files that have viruses and hacking tools.

* social signals

-positive social signals

  • Reputation: what is meant by ‘’reputation’’ here is the reputation of those who share your content.
  • The quantity of shares: number of shares that your audience made on social media.

-negative social signals :

  • spam shares: search engines will recognize making spam accounts that will share your content automatically.

* Geographic data of website visitors

search engines will recognize the locations for your visitors.
