Great article. Fully agree with point 2 about being silly.
Too often brainstorm sessions are all about creatives trying to outsmart each other. The wittiest ideas are then taken forward. But what sounds really clever in a meeting, often only sounded really clever when that meeting was happening. Outside the meetingroom it hardly makes any connection with consumers living their daily lives.
