I agree. Not just cheap labour, but cheap skilled labour. I’ve taken to asking why people think it is ok that we steal trained doctors from countries in the world where the health outcomes are so far below our own. Is the health service in India really so good they have doctors to spare?

There’s nothing wrong with an exchange of skilled staff, but a net import of them is little more than a modern form of colonial appropriation.
