Generation Now
I once heard Bill Gates say this on TV that when he was young he thought that in his older years he would surround himself with brilliant young minds. Not his exact words, but yes, certainly words of wisdom -the formula for eternal youth.
There have been so many alphabets associated with various generations that somewhere along the way I lost count. For me “Generation Now” is the youth of today-ready to take a punt and seize the moment. Or is it what youth is all about but I have forgotten.
When I was asked to join a group called “Pakathon Melbourne”, I saw it as an opportunity to be part of new ideas-the way forward. Though the focus of Pakathon is Pakistan but its global reach attracted me. Anyone with an idea, with the hope to change the world or part of it for the better and in the process achieve entrepreneurial success can be a part of it. If that’s “you” then come along and see if it’s for you.
I was at a friend’s 40th and we were talking about being 22 again. None of us wanted to be our own 22 year old self again. So if you are someone who wants to combine the wisdom of middle age with the vigour and optimism of youth, then come along and see what you have to offer and what you can gain in the process.
But then again, does any of it matter-age, ethnicity, religion or lack of it. What makes you a part of “Generation Now” is your ideas, your experience ( in my case more my cynicism), your desire for change and the ambition to succeed for yourself while making the world a better place for others.
