Talking to my mentor

I talked with a friend who happened to be my mentor during my internship , I asked her how is it like to start a job as a fresh graduate?

She said its extremely difficult to survive in that kind of environment where nobody cares whether you are an engineer or a member of a lower staff. But she added if we survive through all those odds then we can really become an effective part of the system , it just takes a little time for things to fall at their place.Be Patient.

She said never to talk bad about your position, work, manager or boss because sometimes people are getting to have idea of yours so in this way you can loose their trust in you.

My mentor also advised me to have a progressive relationship with your peers and wit your manager too.if we are always being kind and helpful people will eventually start counting on us and that is really a great trust level you can have in any professional organization.

I also asked her whether to ask for a mentor or not she said it is crucial to find it. If we are ignoring this then we are creating hurdles in our way by our own self.

My mentor also said that it is really a positive move to join the professional communities and to take active part in their discussions.

The most important thing she added on the point of of self reflection is she said that never forget your long term goal it will not only motivate you to work for your passion but also make your life purposeful.
