I agree with what you have said, I just want to add that in the roleplaying game industry there is an initiative called bits & mortar (http://www.bits-and-mortar.com/) when you buy one of the books from the publishers you get a free digital copy of it. The downside is that it’s normally in PDF format, so it’s difficult to read and use in an ebook reader.
