I recently just turned 23. Luckily the 20s have been forgiving. Certainly not easy, but each year has held distinct messages. As I begin the first day of this new year it’s clear to me what one of the messages my 23rd will hold — thankfulness. In an ironic way, everyone who has reached out to celebrate today or make a small note, reminding me of a moment of our past, has been someone I am truly thankful to have known.
