The key doesn’t by itself compromise anonymity. Also, anonymity is, by definition, contrary to verifiability. On the other hand, when you’re talking about a video shot by the a CNN correspondent, there is no need for anonymity. Such mechanism can, optionally, provide verifiability sufficient for many cases described in the original article.
