A selection of wisdom from The Karate Kid’s Mr Miyagi

The Karate Kid was a very special part of my childhood.

To this very day I still get goose bumps when I watch it.

I was always and am still inspired by stories of struggles and challenges to ultimate greatness.

Watching and experiencing the journey from rock bottom to success.

I knew every word of this movie growing up, so it saturated my sub conscious mind.

Because of movies like this, even if they weren’t true stories, I understood at a very young age exactly how success was built.

I knew it wasn’t easy but I always knew it was worth the fight.

Mr Miyagi’s words of wisdom to Daniel son still ring true to this very day and I wanted to share a few powerful quotes of his.

“Never put passion in front of principle, even if you win, you’ll lose”

Mr Miyagi

“First learn stand, then learn fly. Nature rule Daniel son, not mine”

Mr Miyagi

“Man who catch fly with chopstick, accomplish anything”

Mr Miyagi

“It’s ok to lose to opponent. It’s never okay to lose to fear”

Mr Miyagi

The lesson learned by The Karate Kid has everything to do with where you are right now in life……and more importantly where you are going.

I’ll leave you with the famous scene from this movie, the pinnacle moment that brought every trial and tribulation to the forefront, all the blood, sweat and tears came down to this…..
