I see.

I think you hit some great points with gestures, animations, making things feel more lifelike, but I also feel that this kind of dragging gesture doesn’t really fit in here.

I agree, you have lots of space at the bottom, but just because you have it doesn’t mean you should use it, right?

Maybe my ideas are wrong, but that is the beauty of collaboration, ideas, and processes — We all thrive to create a great product and through different points of view understand where our product works and where it doesn’t.

So, for me, I wouldn’t use this. Infact, hitting the product I would show a preview of the product in a modal, with icons in the product modal allowing the user to select these tasks.

Why do I think this approach would be better? It has less time for user error. Dragging gestures require the user to be sat in a good position, and can be damaged by the users environment (Think a knock, a sudden jolt), however, by having a modal displaying the product information, with action buttons, the user does not have to perform a dragging gesture and aim for the sky, but instead can view more information on the product and also add it to their cart, their lists, or whatever we are looking at in this context.

Just my piece of the pie — wrong or right — it’s always important to express what you believe in.

Great stuff.
