I read a fascinating book a few years ago by Marcus Buckingham and Donald O. Clifton call Now Discover Your Strengths. The main theme was a person should develop their strengths and ignore weaknesses. Obviously the book is more nuanced. But the point if you are a good writer, become an excellent writer instead of trying to incorporate accounting skills.

Which is what I think Brenda meant in developing your weaknesses because it was within the context of software engineering.
