Lesson 3) “Scheduled alone time.” This is a little counter-intuitive because usually, you don’t want to be alone when you’re feeling down. But two types of alone time are super helpful. First “quiet time” and the second “reflection time”. They are both very important and also go hand-in-hand. The first gives your mind space and the second guides your mind to choose the right path. This lesson allowed me to get some much-needed headspace that eventually helped me find the direction that gave me the most joy!
Not working is soooo nice. And while being in transition is stressful for other reasons — mostly because there is so much uncertainty — it’s also really amazing, because it’s a unique opportunity to spend time on myself, getting into good shape, eating well, sleeping well, meditating regularly, treating myself really well. That is worth so much and it took me quite a while to get into that mindset. Was I ready to move on from that? Was I recharged fully?
