Lemontree is hiring a Director of Operations
Help us help NY
There are more hungry people in New York than there are citizens of San Francisco.
At Lemontree we show up every day at work and solve this problem. We’re a non-profit that sells family dinner.
Our systemic solution helps low-income families set the table with a dignified, affordable and healthy dinner. We deliver meal-kits with everything a mom needs to cook a delicious meal for just $2 per serving.
We’re a small team that operates like a high-growth startup. We’ve raised more than a million dollars from some of the top VCs and founders in NYC and we’re on track to deliver thousands meals this year (we launched in May).
We’re hiring a Director of Operations
Every week, low-income families across Brooklyn count on Lemontree to deliver ingredients for a fresh and delicious family dinner.
Your job is to make sure this happens smoothly, safely and on budget.
As the second member of the operations team and the fourth employee overall, you’ll provide the operations leadership needed to take our systems from 150 meals per week to 1,500 and on to 15,000.
To get there, we’ll count on you to own everything from food safety to last mile logistics.
You’ll hit it out of the park if you’re someone that geeks out about the intricacies of HAACP and FSMA and gets excited about increasing the efficiency of third party trucking companies.
As a logistics person, we need you to have experience designing and scaling SOPs for a business that handles food. And as a manager of employees, we need you to have experience growing teams.
Our customers come from diverse backgrounds. We’re 100% dedicated to building an organization that reflects this. We strongly encourage women and people of color to apply.
To apply: send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Bonus points if you tell us what your favorite food is.
