My Top 7 Go-To Marketing Productivity Tools
Looking to spice up your workflow? Here’s my go-to list of neat lil’ tools that make my life as a brand marketer/content marketer/advertiser a little bit easier. Note: these are not affiliate links — they’re just tools I love using & want to share with the world!
1. Typefully
I used to write threads directly in Twitter, and half the time the app would glitch, causing me to lose what I’ve written. SO frustrating! Typefully is now my go-to. This tool helps me write Twitter threads, add images/emojis, and get my ideas out into the world faster. It’s also integrated with Vesper AI in case you need a lil help finessing your thoughts.

2. Markup.io
This puppy is by far the easiest tool I’ve found for getting feedback on any type of shared asset (PDF, creative, whatever). Upload any file of your choice, share a link with whomever you’d like feedback from, and they can click directly on the file to leave a comment. You can also “resolve” comments you’ve addressed to keep track of your work.

3. Beautiful.ai
This is probably the easiest way to build a gorgeous presentation deck in the shortest amount of time possible. Beautiful is AI-powered — meaning you can literally type in what you’d like visualized on a slide, and it will magically appear for you. It’s designs are stunning and it has a bunch of rad integrations. Surprisingly, it’s super cheap, too!
Pricing: only $12/mo.

4. Tango
I often need to make walk-through process docs for other people on my team, and I hate making Loom videos to do so. I always have buggy issues or my dogs interrupt with their (admittedly very adorable) playing in the background. Plus, videos are somewhat annoying to follow as the end recipient — you have to pause constantly to work through the steps on your end. Tango is my go-to now. It’s a Chrome Extension that “records” your walkthrough process, then turns it into an editable PDF. Lightning fast and flawless.

5. HARO
HARO = Help a reporter out. Get a list of PR opportunities (journalists looking for sources) into your email inbox at the cadence of your choice, or browse their online portal. If you go the email route, you can pick the categories of ops you want, so you can access the information directly from your inbox and shoot over a pitch email. This is a great tool for anyone in Comms or Content Marketing!

6. Descript
This tool has been a LIFESAVER. It’s my go-to for transcribing videos into text. If you work on case studies — you’ll love this one. Just drag in a video, and watch Descript magically transcribe it for you. From there, you can even edit the audio & video just like a Google Doc (i.e. delete the word, it deletes the clip). A must try.

7. Foreplay
I refer to Foreplay as my “Pinterest” for saving ad inspiration. Even if the brand takes down the ad from Facebook, TikTok, etc, it’s still saved in Foreplay. You can save notes on the ad, write creative briefs, and share collaborative inspiration boards with your team.
