Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: The Dream Body
On Monday night, I was sat with two of my best friends, stuffing our faces with cookies, and feeling sorry for ourselves.
If you did not know, Victoria’s Secret hosted their 2016 Fashion Show this past Monday night. Even though the couture lingerie was the one in the spotlight, the VS Models seemed to have stolen the show.
As the years go on, it seems that the focus of the audience dwindles further away from the fantasy bra, and more towards the Angels themselves. Not only because they are socially considered some of the most naturally beautiful women on Earth, but also because they are considered to have the most rocking bodies… and everyone wants to look like them.
People think that an Angel body is unattainable, but that’s not the case. All you need to achieve the goal of a VS Angel body is some motivation, a good diet, and a good exercise routine. Lucky for you, you don’t have to search any further for those perfect eating habits or perfect exercise routines. I did the research, and I found the key things to help you achieve the best VS Angel body you could ever have.
The following is the eating plan and daily menu for the Victoria’s Secret models, made by the Victoria’s Secret dietitian:
Breakfast: old-fashioned oatmeal, egg whites, vegetables, cottage cheese and fruit, muesli, and yogurt.
Lunch: salads are suggested at lunch, with fish and/or chicken, and fruit for a healthy snack.
Dinner: dinner options include sashimi with brown rice, chicken, fish, turkey, and vegetables.
Extras: In order to get Energy, it is encouraged to live on sugar. Getting sugar from fruits is not a bad thing because fruits are packed with antioxidants. However, when we say sugar, we do not mean pixie sticks and milkshakes — no artificial sugar!
It is recommended to eat a little dark chocolate or ice cream twice a week so that you do not splurge and go overboard with chocolate, cookies, and sugar.
In order to gain results, you must stay consistent with this diet. However, diets do not work alone in achieving a VS Angel body; having a consistent workout routine will enhance your body even more.
Now, there is no certain workout that Victoria’s Secret models follow; each model had their own unique routine. However, the most common workouts that I came across while researching are: major cardio, small-movement workouts, and yoga. Here are a few suggestions:
Weight Lifting: This does not mean benching 135 pounds. Weight lifting for Victoria’s Secret more so involve light weights with small, quick movements. The models use lighter weights in order to achieve the slim look, rather than a very muscular one.
Barre: this is a ballet-driven workout. It involves small movements on a ballet barre. Even though the movements are small, it is a high intensity workout.
Cardio: any sort of workout that gets your heat pumping and your breathing fast is great for getting that desired Angel body. Running is the simplest, and easiest, form of cardio. Also, running is e fastest way to burn belly fat — along with a well-kept diet.
