As a woman, I know that I am far more likely to suffer in silence than was my ex-husband, whom I would coddle and fuss over for the smallest thing. I think women have a higher threshold collectively, and that the perception that women are the weaker sex is absolutely laughable. This was a wonderful article. Your partner only finding your pain credible when the male doctor confirmed it is dead on in my experience. My ex husband was a narcissist. That your partner is in general a loving and kind man makes the reality even more clear.
