I look at it like this:
If everything that happens to me is a brick, I can use those bricks to build walls, or I can use them to build bridges. I am not a product of my circumstances, but a product of how I reacted to those circumstances. Because of this, depending on what I do with what happens to me, I can bloom in a desert or die in an oasis. If I can adapt, I can survive anything. If not, well, that will be a sad fucking day.
