As stupid up as it may sound, I’m grateful for my rock bottom experience.
Hitting Rock Bottom Was the Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me
Richard Mach

It doesn’t sound stupid. When my ex-husband had me physically removed from our home by police officers after a relapse, filed a restraining order and served me with divorce papers, I had just lost my job. He took my children and I did not see them again for over 4 months. The day after he kicked me out, I totaled my car (all I had left) and was unable to afford to reinstate my license for 4 years, during which time I transported myself and my children by bus.

He’s an asshole, but if he hadn’t done what he did, I don’t know if I’d be sitting here typing to you. It probably saved my life. And having to claw my way out of the pit THAT MESS WAS?

Invaluable. Hard as Hell, but oh my god did I grow. I get it. :)
