But then, I hadn’t taken the opiod medication like an addict might, only as-needed in a given day or week
I never experienced a single symptom of withdrawal when I decided not to take opiods anymore…

This saved you at least that awful withdrawal. Ironic, but if people were directed to take opioids with the same prn as nsaids, a lot of the dependency issues would disappear. But like you said, they’re stickers for “every 4 hours, overlap with ibuprofen in between to avoid 'breakthrough' pain”. It is as if all pain is intolerable. What I found out when I swore off narcotics is that a body can handle so much more than doctors would have us believe.

Look at you. Look at what you are living with. I think about that and I think how any provider I know would be downing oxy by the handful.

There should be a safe alternative for you. That there isn’t makes me incredibly upset. All this money to pharm companies and we haven’t conquered pain or cancer.

Or have we?

I always wonder what they keep under wraps. Imagine how much money they would lose if someone figured out how to safely stop pain and cure cancer.

Greed. Humanity’s ruin. ☹
