A Handy Guide To The Brisbane Conversation If Someone Tries To Tell You Ferrante’s Outing Proves Shriver Was Right.

There’s a fascinating line to draw from Ken Kalfus’s review of Lionel Shriver’s The Mandibles to her offensive appearance at the Brisbane Writers’ Festival to Yassmin Abdel Nagid’s response to the Shriver speech, Suki Kim’s account of this to Kalfus’s response to Shriver, Shriver’s response to critics in the Times (that weirdly blames Millenials?), Kaitlyn Greenidge’s response to that response , all the way to Jess Row’s most recent essay in The New Republic.

Now some clown wants to link it all to Ferrante, but I won’t link to him here. But Daniel José Older’s piece at Buzzfeed on the fundamentals of writing the Other and the Self is evergreen.
