Alexander Shulgin, composer and investor: creative arts and technology will utilize the blockchain principle in their development

Alexander Shulgin, a well-known composer and head of the “Gruppa Kompaniy Familia”, in his interview with Vostochno-Sibirskaya Pravda says that a future without banks and money as we know them will be upon us very soon.

“There will be no money. A long time ago there was the natural economy which we abandoned due to emerging industrialization. Now we are about to take a step in the opposite direction. It was Marshall McLuhan who defined the future media environment as a global village. We needed money because of the distance between us, but if we are in the same village, it is no longer needed. Money immediately leads to new unnecessary social institutions, banks… In the new communications space, there is no need for money”, he says.

This is why, in his words, Alexander Shulgin’s investment business, the Familia company, has decided to invest in bitcoin mining.

“We have invested in companies mining the Bitcoin, and thus, as a company, have become the world’s largest part of the blockchain infrastructure.”

Moreover, according to Shulgin, in the future, “creative arts and technology will be developed in accordance with the blockchain technology principle, and works of art or other products of intellectual labor will be created collectively, while each person’s contribution will be fully documented.

In 1998, Alexander Shulgin established the Gruppa Kompaniy Familia , which today includes a number of companies involved in entertainment, music publishing, copyright, consulting, and other activities.

Shulgin is also a partner and investor in the iTech Capital venture fund, which invests in the digital sector companies of Russia , CIS and global companies , as well as a co-founder of the Swiss 5 Continent Consulting Group IT company (5CCG).
