UX Snack: Perceive Video & Text Simultaneously
I just saw a really great UX bit on digitaltrends.com website! You know, when you come to one of those articles with a video version of it. You immediately start to scan the page anyway, skipping the video, hoping to find the needed bit of information faster.
So, the guys at digitaltrends made a really smart little UX flow improvement.
When you scroll down, the video snaps to the bottom right of the page! So that you can scan the article and still watch the video!
You know why it’s great?
It’s a great way to perceive 2 sources of information simultaneously. And that’s exactly what you need in this case.
This is what I call a good understanding of users. Or better yet, being users of your own product. Then you understand the user behavior. And you design accordingly. Great job!
