I Have Chosen Myself

On the verge
of
losing myself entirely,
I found myself.

In every pain,
teardrop,
cry for help,
I was there.

In the shadows,
unseen,
unheard.

When I’ve chosen love,
I have chosen myself,
and embarked on an
unknown and uncertain path,
where I know there is
no turning back.

It’s an endless road,
strewn with ambiguity,
echoes of hungry ghosts,
unfed
for ages.

The road continues.

The only solution
is to move forward.

I won’t stop.

After countless obstacles
and traps
from past lives,
I shall arrive Home.
That’s where I want to be,
because now
I don’t know another place —

And I don’t want to discover.

With slow and steady steps,
my destiny will unfold.
I surrender to it,
because I know
that
wonderful things
await me.

I am ready.
