We are excited to announce our $1.7M Pre-Seed Raise co-led by Stellation Capital and MaC Venture Capital with notable angels including Glenn Solomon, Cory Levy (Z Fellows), Cyril Berdugo, Patrick de Picciotto, Ansh Nanda, Richard Li, and others.

We have launched the swsh app on the iOS App store for NYU and Princeton students.

In Fall 2022, we started building social apps from our college dorms. Since then, with invite-only TestFlights, we’ve piloted on-campus activations and guerilla marketing at NYU and Princeton’s campuses, launched our “see you somewhere somehow campaign”, and spoke at TechCrunch Disrupt. We have also made key product and engineering hires and secured our O1 visas (a crucial milestone for international founders).

swsh’s mission is to:

Build social products to deepen the connections that matter to you; become the easiest and most engaging way to keep in touch with your friends and family around the world.

We grew up in a transient city where friends and family were constantly moving. Since our friends and family were scattered around the world, we had to learn how to keep in touch. Keeping in touch is tough — so tough. And, it can be pretty damn lonely to always feel like you’re saying goodbye.

By our junior year in college, we had enough of saying goodbye. Instead, we started saying “see you somewhere somehow.” This phrase represents the movements we all experience in our life, the chapters we close, and the new adventures that await us. Rather than bidding final farewells, we chose to lead with hope: saying that we will see each other again, somewhere somehow.

However, we still struggled to see these people again somewhere somehow. Sure, we had their Insta handle or phone number, but that didn’t make us feel or actualize into a close relationship. Social media confuses friendship with followers and text chains back and forth feel draining. We believe that a middle ground exists: an effortless and enjoyable way to build relationships you care about.

We are deploying our recent funding to accelerate our build and iteration process by making key product and engineering hires and propelling our go-to-market mechanisms.

Thank you to our early supporters. We would not be somewhere somehow with you.
