4 Ways to Save Your Heart
Heart disease has been a leading cause of death and is linked to many lifestyle factors. Fortunately, all it takes are some healthy adjustments to prevent it.
1. It all begins with food. The way to a healthy heart is to opt for green leafy vegetables, whole grains, and food that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids instead of those that are high in sugar, salt, and cholesterol. Herbs, nuts, and olive oil are sources of “healthy” fat.
2. Watch your weight. At least 30 minutes of heart-pumping routines everyday helps normalize blood pressure and almost all blood levels.
3. Avoid becoming diabetic as that can develop into artery obstruction and eventually, stroke.
4. Manage stress well. When you’re stressed out, you tend to breathe less and the insufficient flow of oxygen weakens its supply toward your heart. Breathe in, breathe out, and let the stress go.
