Kristi Coulter

When I read the title of the article I thought maybe you were a “normie” who decided to just not drink however you really caught my attention when I read your first line… “ I am newly sober and dog paddling”. I knew right then you were a friend of Bill W. 😉. December 20th 2015 after drinking for about 6 years I decided after numerous attempts to quit my life was unmanageable. I checked in rehab for my 2nd time and now have 8 months of real sobriety! I love how you describe the real struggles of alcoholism. I am fortunate to have obtained the calm and piece a bit earlier than others but I also have situations that come up where what you wrote is EXACTLY how I feel. I’ve forwarded your article to my sponcee’s and some other women in my AA groups! I can’t wait to discuss this with them. I have to say out of the thousands of articles I have read over the years I have NEVER written a author to say thank you! So thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️❤️❤️. It made me laugh out loud, tear up and remember no matter where I am I have friends in recovery! Even sitting here in my room, reading this on my phone, in my head saying you go girl!!!! I am blessed to have seen your article on yahoo.
