The door isn’t locked. Once you dare to open it, a new and mysterious place reveals itself in front of your eyes. There is not one person waiting to greet you, but rather everyone is there. They are so excited to meet you — it’s like they haven’t seen anything like you until now and you can feel their curiosity. Soon you hear: “what kind of monster are you?”. You hesitate, but you answer and immediately can see how happy they are that you are there.

You somehow feel different, as you’ve never felt before. You do not know if you should be scared or excited as mix of feelings flow through you, and just at that moment someone catches your hand and says:

“Follow me, you are now free to dream and make it happen!”

There is no single place within this new world which looks the same. You see how they’ve managed to find different solutions to the problems they’ve faced and none of them are the same. They have worlds intertwined within worlds, and a purpose in everything that they do. They have a drive, a true one actually, and that is to “make diabetes suck less”.
And they do it!

At this stage you start feeling enchanted and you give up control over your creativity and start dancing with their rhythms. You are in, in their world, and that is the moment when you realise that the they is actually a we. You are no longer an unknown monster, you are part of the family.

You feel like you’ve been here for years, and they most definitely show you that. This feeling is so strange but so good at the same time. Soon you’ll get to know many interesting people with great stories and beautiful lives. You become part of the story now and it is expected of you to participate and to bring what is missing from the world you now live in.
