‘Scrivener for Dummies’ by Gwen Hernandez

I’m reading this book after using Scrivener for quite a while to improve and unlock more features to help me organise and write my novel.

What is Scrivener? It’s a writing software much like for example MS Word but with a world of opportunities and features. My favourite part is the cork board this displays all my characters on post it notes literally stuck to a cork board. So useful when you change characters names or characters which don’t appear often and easily refer to them to jog your memory

Of course Scrivener offers a massive range of features. Great for organising your project, searching and searching with metadata and choosing which elements to search on. Adding notes to specific chapters via the inspector located on the right, slip screen to look at two chapters at once or the same chapter. Footnotes and Annotations, custom templates for Novels, Blog Posts, Poetry, Shorts Stories etc. And many other features a writer could only dream of.

Whats more when you’ve finished your project it can easily export it for E-Books, Kindle, Epub file, PDF, Word and other formats. Great if you self publish.
