The biggest problem that we have to deal with in the last years are these third party tools that enable users to do i teractions automatically by a bot.

Many users that I see online. As well as the accounts that comment and un/follow automatically just show the problem, many press the follow button once, if they press it theirself. They might even not return to an account again, and keep only on their own timeline.

I have to be true that even I use Twitter heavily, real, I really haven’t paid attention to the unfollow button a lot, but I will do in the future.

But I think, many don’t have a problem with scrolling away a message instead of taking active action and unfollow an account. And also they might expect a negative effect on their follower count, and they really should in some way. Because of the bots that I mentioned at the beginning, an unfollow can lead to an unfollow from this account. In the end we pay more attention to numbers than on the content… that’s my honest opinion.
