I slept eight hours a day for a month. What I discovered.
First of all, let me mention that the period I performed this sleep experiment was working days and not days off. This means that I had a workload and the necessary morning awakening to go to work.
Starting in May 2022 I decided to sleep consistently and uninterruptedly for eight hours a day, to be exact from 23:30 to 7:30. Specifically, I decided to give my body half an hour more until it enters sleep mode. So consider 23:00 as bedtime.

Results
Here I will tell you as simply as possible the results that resulted from the sleep program that I implemented for a month.
At first I found it difficult to obey the time of sleep which I considered quite early while with the time of waking I had no particular issue. I noticed the following:
Waking up in the morning is crucial, if not for the rest of the day, at least for the next morning work hours. I had more clarity in my thinking and obviously better mood that reflected in my behavior, my movements and my speech.
I was not drowsy during the day, something that happened when I was unaware of my sleep schedule and had caused my body to lack sleep.
I had better reactions with the outside environment.
I got a pleasant impatience for bedtime. As if I wanted the time to sleep to be able to charge and be able to perform so well and then.
At this point I have to admit that the night is sweet and planetary. Countless are the nights I wandered and woke up in front of my computer screen wandering left and right most of the time unplanned hostage to the peace and quiet that the night generously offers in contrast to the rhythms of the day.
And yet, now that I think about it, there have been times when I have missed the evening hours and the concentration they offer. However, the irony is that the hours of concentration you gain in the evening are redeemed from the mornings you “lose” in concentration and you are drowsy. Maybe this is the logical balance.
A regular sleep cycle gives the body room to adapt properly. Consistency pays.
I stopped needing to sleep and therefore lost the old bad habit of falling asleep after lunch. The result was a small but measurable weight loss.
My productive time was shifted in the morning while I noticed that I could work with greater tolerance for outside harassment, something that was prohibitive before now was I would say tolerable to a small degree.
Lack of sleep brought me to my knees during the week and forced me to look for a hard reset in her heart, on Wednesday, with a full three hours of sleep at noon.
Conclusions
Sleep is the charge of our body. Just like a cell phone battery needs proper charging and discharging, so we humans are made to sleep at night and wake up at sunrise. The benefits are many and they correspond specifically to me. If you try eight hours of sleep you may discover more or different benefits. Every body is different and the same goes for its sleep needs.
