How to find the MAC address on a computer, Roku, or Chromecast

Finding the MAC address, or Media Access Control address, on a computer, Roku, or Chromecast is a simple process.
For a computer:
- Click on the Start button and type “cmd” into the search bar.
- Click on the Command Prompt program that appears.
- Type “ipconfig /all” into the command prompt and press Enter.
- Look for the line that says “Physical Address” under the network adapter that you are connected to. This is your MAC address.
For a Roku:
- Go to the Roku Home Screen.
- Select the “Settings” menu.
- Select “Network” and then “About.”
- Your MAC address will be listed as “Wireless MAC Address” or “Wired MAC Address.”
For a Chromecast:
- Open the Google Home app on your mobile device.
- Select the Chromecast device that you want to find the MAC address for.
- Select the three dots in the top right corner and select “Device settings.”
- Your MAC address will be listed as “MAC address.”
