An idea for you and LA… Suggesting that moving the city to renewables will somehow help combat climate change sounds good — but it ignores the science. What if instead of relying on the “stop climate change” advantage you focus on the real upsides of the move? There are actually a lot. First of all LA has a huge pollution problem — moving to renewables will improve the quality of life and health of everyone in the area. Second reducing dependence on non-renewables will insulate the city from escalting energy prices. Finally, solar panels are cool. LA’s move renewables won’t impact global climate change — but they can improve the lives of the citizens of LA. That’s something that both liberals and conservatives can agree on…
