Based on the data — if we’re being honest African-Americans are killed at rates lower than statistics would predict. African-American men, despite only representing 6% of the population commit 52% of the murders in the United States. Police officers are 18 times more likely to be killed by African-Americans than all other races combined. The reality is that more African-American men should be dead — the fact that they aren’t means that our police are well trained and acting with restraint.
