One area that might worth looking at are the landlords that target undocumented Americans and immigrants. Some studies suggest that 25% of African Americans do not have a photo ID — something that any reputable landlord would require of a prospective tenant. Landlords that are willing to violate the law in one are are more likely to violate the law in other areas. Their undocumented tenants are uniquely at risk because of their status.
