The reality is that a special prosecutor would be free from political interference or influence. FBI Director Comey was conflicted — his brother’s accounting firm does the taxes for the Clinton Foundation. When Comey went to work for Lockheed they immediately donated to the Clinton Foundation and joined the Clinton Global Initiative. I don’t know if these things influenced him — but I am sure it is worth having someone independent take a look. Of course the chances of a Trump presidency are near zero — we’ll never know what actually happened or why Hillary lied. Hopefully we seen the worst of the Clinton’s and the next four years will be their best. I’m hopeful.
