When a campaign engages in an ugly smear they’ll often use surrogates — which is what we’ve all been told from the start with regard to this particular issue. Now it turns out that it originated from either a paid staffer or a volunteer coordinator — that is big news. It was such a big deal in the campaign they fired the person — so they’ve known for 8 years that they originated the story and still denied it? Eight years of lies. They should have come clean from the start — it was a rogue staffer and that would be that. It is the cover-up and the lies that kill politicians. Hillary just can’t tell the truth — in this case her campaign manager admitted Hillary made the call the fire the staffer personally — she knew they started the smear. Shame.
