Our App on Product Hunt

A few sundays ago (22.05.2016) I woke up and saw our product Tex being on the top of Product Hunt.

For some people in the #tech or #app industry could be something important or very cool, cause P.H. is today one of the best places to launch an app, a product or being promoted.

For me, someone deep in South America, in Asunción it was like something was wrong.

First thing was to re-read all emails, twitter accounts, facebook, etc. looking for someone or something that I´ve missed. Everything was ok, so started reading and answer questions about Tex

The thing is, that even today, I don´t know how we where promoted on Product Hunt front page. Yo don´t get promoted on Product Hunt that easy.

So there we was with the title: “The most secure message App” (and we are), in one of the most important sites, after a year trying to publish other products with a lot of questions, some of them trying to understand what we did, others complaining about our encryption and our definition of secure, and that we can´t be the most secure App, that we are not doing nothing new and all that we did is a copy… and some others supporting us.

I supposed is good to have questions, whether they are with good intensions or bad, they are always important cause it you give the possibility to explain things you could not do in other way and after all if someone is wasting his time making a question is because there is something in the product that attract them.

Action-Reaction:

Everything about the post on Product Hunt was good because people in there are the ones building the industry, and the ones who understand what a good product means, so besides that we know we have a good product, other people thinks that to, cause votes and reaction was positive making us the most important product that day and having people all over the world downloading and writing us upon the use and functionality of Tex.

What does secure means:

People tend to directly think in encryption when the word secure is out… secure could be in many ways… the way we are secure now is focusing on the safe of the users… the user is always secure and his message is secure when talking each other… If you have the most encrypted message app but you are next to camera I can record anything you are writing and then publish anywhere and demonstrate that you are the one saying that… or if your write me with something even Snowden make… if i´m on your side i will be able to see who and what is he saying.

What we care about

We care about regular users that need secure conversation with friends and family… if you wanna tell a secret, something that bother you or whatever you talk with friends and family every day in person and maybe you don´t want to tell them in a message because he will have your conversation always in his phone and can show anyone… or if the other people is with someone it can show it the conversation immediately.

So Tex is a message app that give that privacy you have when you are talking face to face to another person… just the 2 know who they are… and all that you say… it disappears.

What we are solving:

Is not encryption. There are several apps with that solution, we are working and solving a more day to day issue not a hacker issue… This is for regular people that the only thing they want is talk with other person and that nobody else could know what, when, who is talking.

We have a compromise on build The Most Secure Message App in the world, we have lot coming but we know we are in the right path.
