Why Everyone Should Watch “I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman”
Recently, I was aimlessly scrolling through Hulu on my Amazon Fire TV Stick. I came across the title “I Love You America, with Sarah Silverman.” Knowing Silverman’s comedic background I was interested in the show but knowing recently her political background I figured I would give the show a try.
As a liberal myself, the show has some of the exact morals and ideals I believe in. However, that isn’t the reason I liked the show.
After watching a few episodes, I realized Sarah Silverman’s show is more than just showing her political agenda, but the different political views across our country. She uses her show as a platform to demonstrate how we can come together as a nation no matter what our political party happens to be.
Sarah meets with regular people across the nation that do not have the same views. This shows how even with opposite ideals, as a nation we still care about and can have respect for each others political views.
I urge any American citizen- regardless of your age, race, gender, or political stance to watch Sarah’s show. It’s shows like these that help remind us that we are all just people, coexisting together and that overall respect and acceptance of everyone is what life is all about.
