Alarming ingredients: AHA

Natural/Synthetic: Both

Animal Cruelty: Conflicting results, but sold in China

Scent: Artificial pumpkin

Texture: Gloopy gel, with tiny beads (Aluminum Oxide Crystals) running through it, light grittiness.

Suitable for: All but very sensitive (especially dull, aging, and congested.)

How to Use: As a mask once/twice a week, leave on for 3–7 minutes (i have a non-sensitive skin and have left it on for more than 7 minutes with no adverse reaction, but then again be cautious). It can be massaged first or when rinsing for extra manual exfoliation. (massage and rinse off straight away if you are sensitive/reactive)

How long did i use it: 1 year and going

Shelf life: 24 months after opening

My thoughts: They don’t specifically say the percentage of the pumpkin and ascorbic acid present, but it definitely packs a punch. The first time i used it my skin turned pinkish, which i have never experienced with other exfoliants before. I also love that they include a manual exoliant that feels gentle enough, but that’s just me (i love a bit of a scrub!).

Afterwards, my skin felt smoother and softer, not dried out or irritated (again i don’t have a sensitive skin). But eventhough i like this, i wouldn’t say that this is an essential. If you are using an acid toner and your skin is already in a good place, you can skip this. But if you want to amp up your exfoliation game a notch, this is a good product to try.

A minus- the size is too big, i wish they would’ve sold it in 50ml or 75ml instead (with adjusted lower price ofc). If you plan to buy this, i suggest you share it with your friend(s) and decant this into MUJI pots.

Final verdict: A good step up from your regular daily exfoliant(s), but not an essential.
