1. Ran 5 miles around Seattle

I love running whenever I travel. Running and walking around is the best way to explore. I woke up at 6 am and did some running around Seattle, while listening to the Baby Driver soundtrack.

2. Had breakfast at La Parisienne bakery

This French bakery in Seattle is as close as one can get to Paris. Everything from terrines to chocolate croissants is great. I had vegetarian baguette — so good.

To be fair though, coffee is better at Uptown espresso across the street.

3. Visited Chihuly’s Glass Bridge, and installation at Tacoma Union Station

We are massive fans of Dale Chihuly (I mean how can you not be!). We visited his museum in Seattle and absolutely loved it. On my birthday we drove to Tacoma to enjoy more of his work.

4. Visited Museum of Glass

Next we visited museum of glass. The exhibition was really small but really awesome.

5. Drove around beautiful Point Defiance Park

Tacoma is home to a lovely Point Defiance Park. We drove around so called 5 mile drive and checked out Rose Garden, beach and beautiful vistas.

6. Had a sandwich at Antique Sandwich Company

Situated Roche at the edge of Point Defiance Park this joint lives up to its name. The devoted is filled with odd objects that do not belong. The good news is that food was delicious.

7. Gave blood to preserve my stem cells

Okay so this requires a bit of an explanation. I used a super cool Techstars Seattle company called Seline Biotech to preserve my white blood cells / stem cells.

The way this works is you basically do a blood draw and the company freezes your white blood cells so they can be used in the future.

The idea is that maybe 20 years from now the technology would be more advanced and as I get older and get sick my current cells could become very handy. Learn more about the process of preserving your cells on heir web site (I highly recommend you do it).

8. Had dinner at Local 360

Local 360 was absolutely delicious. Kids had deconstructed mushroom pie and I had pasta. Deserts were even better than savory dishes.

9. Spent entire day with my family

Most importantly I spent entire day with my family. Awesome times!
