Takes.io on Product Hunt : why it changed the game


I’m Alexis, co-founder of takes.io.

My good friend Jonathan and I, two frog-eating engineers based in Paris, started this project a few months ago.
We are a very young startup that focuses on giving video makers that use every day Vimeo and YouTube (and more!), the ultimate way to collaborate and exchange with their teams/clients.
We tend to be the Invision/Feedbag for video.

Thanks to Product Hunt and the Product Hunt newsletter, we had 4000+ visitors on takes.io’s website and 400+ subscriptions over two days.
It was our official launch and we have video creators already using it on a daily basis.
We were especially pleased by users sending us thank you emails for releasing “the app they’ve dreamt about”.

The Product Hunt Feature also gave us the chance to understand precisely our users greatest needs. We were able to set up a precise product roadmap, based on their own vote, on which we started to work right away.
