Thanks for taking the time to read/respond with such thoughtful feedback. Appreciate that! I think the importance of authenticity as your now is that it allows you to begin. You’re not obsessing over an idealized past (nostalgia) or future version of yourself. And you’re not waiting until you have it all figured out. So in a sense, it aligns with the second half of your comment…not being afraid to build with what you have now. I agree that perseverance is just as important as authenticity. Sure, you can contribute value, albeit limited, if you’re acting without authenticity. But I don’t believe that you can innovate. I think innovation comes from authenticity (working on something that resonates with you in a deep way) + resilience.
