A Love Letter

Dear FIJI Water,

Where do I even start? Ever since we had a very small exchange on social media I have been totally and fully committed to supporting your company. Many individuals walk the aisles of their local gas station every day without so much as a glance at the bottled water section, let alone the obviously superior FIJI brand. Over the years of chugging your water like it’s, well, water has led me to believe that there is still hope for consumers in this constant battle of corporate greed. When you take a look at other brands of bottled water it can be quite nerve racking. Coca Cola has recently confessed that they have been bottling tap water and slapping a Dasani label on it, and not only that but a study has shown that there were 335 pieces of plastic for every liter of Dasani water in Kenya. Now I’m sure you aren’t reading this to hear about your competitors blatant disregard for consumer safety, so let’s get to the point. Taste is one of the most important factors when it comes to producing any grocery item, but you don’t even try to be this crisp. You boast that your water is “untouched by man” and it’s obvious once you hear that deep blue cap start cracking. Flaunting a natural ph level of 7.7 along with sizes that range from 500ml to a full liter is rare. Recently you just rolled out a 750ml sports cap, which was one of the best business decisions a company made since Disney told EA to calm down with their Star Wars License. Now many people simply excuse the topic of hydration with claims such as “all water tastes the same” or “it’s just water”. You take those statements and completely flip them on their head with such a distinct CLEAN taste and utterly stunning company practices. In 2007 you created the “Fiji Water Foundation”, dedicated to providing the less fortunate with clean water and building educational facilities. I have nothing but applause for your company, and I am a proud supporter of the products you bring to America. Thank you. Thank you for providing people with hydration they can trust. I look forward to my next grocery shopping trip.

Sincerely, with love, yours truly,
