The Best of Meerkat 2015
For those of you out there who haven’t already heard of Meerkat, here is a link that will allow you to download the most awesome app on the app store: http://www.meerkatapp.co/download (now also available for Android)
Meerkat is a community based live-streaming app that allows people from all over to connect to share moments and communicate with eachother.
In this article I am going to be talking about some of my favorite Meerkaters (people who broadcast/stream on Meerkat).
A Top 10 List of The Best Meerkaters (no specific order)
- Mitchell McLaughlin (@m23mclaughlin)
A streamer who broadcasts just to communicate with #MeerFamily, a family of people who have been gathered using Meerkat as a base. Mitch’s streams are based off of interaction with the audience, and creating a little (growing) community…
- Tiffy Diamond (@tiffy4u)
Tiffy streams very consistently and has various different topics, some of which are also chats about movies called #CreaTiffs … I personally think that they are extremely interesting and I am sure that many other people would agree.
- Geoff Golberg (@geoffgolberg)
Since the day he joined Meerkat Geoff has been streaming the sights and sounds of the places he visits around the world, through which he has built a large community whom tune in the moment he goes live to chat and follow him around.
- Malia Probst (@TheMalia)
Malia is known on Meerkat for consistently going live to communicate with people but to also talk about the news, which is a lot better than the normal news because you actually get the interact with the person talking. Plus, she’s nice!
- Jeff Needles (@jsneedles)
Jeff Needles of MeerkatStats.com was recently hired by Meerkat to go and work there. When he joined Meerkat he used the platform to engage with people while he was coding the website, which is now live. I personally love watching his streams. Plus, he helped me with some lines of code, and continues to stream about other stuff as well!
- Victoria Fratz (@imvictoriafratz)
Victoria has also been a very early adopter of Meerkat and has mainly been streaming on and off when she goes places and just wants to chat, which is what Meerkat is generally used for — #MeerChat
- Liza Dixon (@LizaDixon)
The most awesome woman on Meerkat. She is so awesome, because of the interest that she displays in tech and the knowledge that she has. Not a lot of women now a days are into tech, don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to be sexist, its just a fact. As a result, of this it is rare to find a woman that is into tech and is also a nice person at the same time. Liza is the one!
- Ray Brown (@RayBrown_me)
Hosting the popular #AABMA (AskABlackManAnything.com) show on meerkat Ray has also built a community on Meerkat through hosting a question and answer session almost every day.
- Gary Vaynerchuck (@garyvee)
CEO and founder of VaynerMedia, Gary is a popular Z-List public figure, but unfortunately does not meerkat that often. If you are reading this Gary, I urge you to go on Meerkat more often! (Most of his streams consist of him being live during his #AskGaryVee Show, so technicaly it is also a Q&A but honestly lacking the interaction with the fans. Pls urge him to #MeerChat more often!
- Grant Cardone (@GrantCardone)
Only recently begun to view his streams, so I personally do not know too much about him but the stream that I did tune into, he seemed to be a smart guy. I was actively commenting on his streams and he did in fact see my comments, so I guess you could also call it a Q&A. He also streams pretty much every moment in his life that he wishes to share with #Meerkaters
If you weren’t on this list, please do not be dissapointed. Especially if you are very high up on the leaderboard, because this is based of my personal opinion and what I thought of the content. Let me know what you think by tweeting to me @TPBTV or @alex_panagis (OR BOTH!)
With love,
