Interim design leadership for startups

I design businesses and products.

My brain is hardwired to distill ideas and create a visualized order that connects dots and aligns thinking. I get deep in the dirt to map things out from every angle and establish a clear vision that reflects business objectives, the people who will use it, and its place within a wider system. Once that’s set, I design the products that become the heart and soul of a business.

And I get a particularly twisted thrill from working on stuff without precedent or hellbent on torching rulebooks to make things better. Bring. It. On. 👊🏼

I lead without dogmatic nonsense or process clichés.

Ideas are different, founders are different, teams are different. I believe in considering the circumstances then developing a process. The essentials are communication, collaboration, flexibility, decisiveness, a shared purpose, and a clear direction. However that takes shape is subjective.

Some other stuff.

LA birthed me and NYC raised me. I’ve led business relations and countless projects for 15+ years. I can comfortably hula between small startups and big corporates. I don’t think of strategy as a siloed discipline. I’m a quick study and dive right in. I’m lousy at hand sketching and the post-it wall thing. I don’t think most things are actually that complicated.

Let’s do something.

Most of what I do isn’t exactly portfolioable (or legally shareable) but I’m happy to share stuff over a meeting so we can also get to know each other. In the meantime feel free to check my creds with anyone I’ve ever worked with (highlights below and LinkedIn for more).

So let’s meet up. Trust me, it’ll be fun. Say hello. 🤙🏼

[ btw I can live/work freely between NYC and London. London is temporarily my homebase until I move back to NYC in Fall 2019 🖤 ]
