I’m note sure being equanimous is the answer, either. It’s seems the NSW government only responds to noise. The whole idea of consultative urban planning has been trampled on my successive labor and liberal governments, and the City of Sydney has been hamstrung by spiteful legislation. Mike Baird repeatedly claims the Sydney is the best city in the world, but it is becoming increasingly unlivable. It’s cultural expression has been hampered, and the government has a post-war attitude to congestion and urban planning: more cars, more roads.
