Exercises You Should Be Doing — Hand Switches W/ Yoga Push-Ups (Hips High)

The push-up is easily my favorite upper body pressing exercise for baseball players because the benefits and variations are endless. This push-up variation is great because it improves core stability, shoulder stability, upper body strength, and also allows you to get some good scapular upward rotation which we know is important in a baseball population.

Programming Advice:

➡1–4 sets

➡For general conditioning do this exercise for 30–45 seconds each set

➡ For general strength purposes do 3 to 5 reps on each side per set

Coaching Cues:

1. Keep your hips high as possible while switching hands

2. Don’t rush
