The next, fifth, slot game by FairWin is devoted to the natives of America — the Aztec and Maya tribes. Indians are one of the most popular plots for computer games of all genres, beginning from slots and finishing with shooters, strategy games and quests.

Call of Juarez (2006–2013)

It is a cult shooter in the Western genre. The plot develops in the Wild West in 1884. The first part deals with the lost treasure of Aztecs — the gold of Juarez which was the ransom for Montezuma, captured by conquistadors. Billy the Kid has learned about the legend and goes to search the treasure. After two years of fruitless searches he comes back to his hometown and finds his mother and stepfather dead, with a note reading “Call of Juarez” next to them.

The game plot is dynamic, there are pursuits, shoot-outs, bloody skirmishes with gangsters and Indians. In general, all the attributes of a true classic western. The second part of Call of Juarez: the Blood Bonds, released in 2009, was a prequel of the first part. The third part is set in our time, the game is executed in the neowestern style. By the way, while this game disappointed the fans of the series, the fourth part, on the contrary, pleased them. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, published in 2013, carries the players away to the Wild West again. The story is told by a skilled hunter Silas Greaves, and the action consists of flashbacks, allusions to the first part of the series. All in all, Call of Juarez is a classical shooter in the Western style. Although the plot revolves around the cursed treasures, the Indians play more like a supporting role here.

The plot of this game reminds me of the “World of the Wild West” series, popular now.

American Conquest

This strategy was published way back in 2002. The “Tecumseh’s rebellion” campaign is devoted to the struggle of American Indian tribes against colonizers. The player can choose to play for the American Indians and the army of general William Henry Harrison.

One more campaign, «Fall of the Empire», is devoted to the collapse of the Inca empire, but the player enters the game as the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro.

Civilization

Practically in all games of the series the player has the possibility to “build” the civilization of Aztecs. Some parts feature the Iroquois tribe, Mayans, Incas and even the Dakota tribe. The game covers the interval of about 4 thousand years and begins at the moment of a civilisation’s formation and comes to an end with the space race. The game purpose is to destroy all other civilizations and become the dominating power.

Europa Universalis

In the second and third parts of Europa Universalis you can choose any country and nation in existence from the XV to the XVIII centuries, including American Indian tribes, among whom there are not only Aztecs, Incas and Mayans, but also the Navajo, Chimor and Lenape tribes.

Desperados 2: Cooper’s Revenge (2001), Helldorado: Conspiracy (2006)

It is a game of the RTS genre. One of the six characters which can be selected by the player is the Indian called Hawkeye, armed with a tomahawk and a bow with poisoned arrows. Cooper’s gang travels around the Wild West, hunts bad guys and battles gangsters.

Turok: Dinosaur Hunter

The player acts as the soldier of the American Indian tribe, Tal’set (his other name — Turok), who travels in time and guards the border between the Earth and the Forgotten World, where the passage of time stopped in the prehistoric period. The forgotten world is occupied by various ancient monsters. Turok’s problem is preventing the beings of the Forgotten world from reaching the Earth. The series started in 1997, the last release was published in 2008.

Disney’s Pocahontas

Last but not least — I can’t but tell you about this perfect game which was released on Sega as early as 1996, right after the premiere of the Disney animated cartoon with the same title.

The player controls Pocahontas and raccoon Meeko and can switch freely between them. Heroes are helped by hummingbird Flit, which points the direction where to go. The graphics are close to the original cartoon, the game consists of four levels, at each of which Pocahontas helps animals, gains the protection of their spirits and acquires new abilities.
