Inside the nucleus of each one of your cells we can find an identical copy of your “genetic code”, or in short, your genome. (Almost) all your hereditary information is found there in a few pieces of coiled DNA, the chromosomes. If we could take a single copy of your genome —stretched out and unrolled— it would result in a very thin wire of about 3 meters long. And this is packed inside every one of your (trillions of) cells.
